Beaujolais Nouveau is a vibrant, young red wine from the Beaujolais region of France, made entirely from Gamay grapes. Released each year on the third Thursday of November, it marks the first taste of the new harvest. The wine undergoes carbonic maceration, a quick fermentation process that preserves its bright fruit flavors and soft tannins. Known for its fresh, juicy notes of strawberry, cherry, and banana, Beaujolais Nouveau is light-bodied and easy to drink. It’s meant to be enjoyed soon after release as a fun, festive celebration of the year’s vintage.
