Concept
Many restaurants nowadays refer to themselves as
bistros, despite the fact that their food, ambiance
and prices are at odds with the true definition of
the term. In France, a bistro is where blue
collar workers go to eat homestyle fare at very
modest prices; it is often served on bare wood or
with draught beer and vin ordinaire.
Daily blackboard specials are prepared by Chef Jacky
Robert, whose career and reputation are well-known
to both Boston and west coast diners. Manager Loic
Le Garrec is a native of Brittany and a veteran of
Boston and New York's top dining rooms.
In true bistro tradition, entree prices are under
$12 at lunch and under $20 at dinner.

Bisque
de Homard
Our Lobster Bisque is our most popular
soup... after the onion soup! We make it
from fresh Maine lobsters. Lobster are
less expensive these days because of their
abundance. Nobody knows why lobsters are
reproducing this much...

Française at PRB Kenmore
We want to remind you about our French Table.
Every first Monday of each month at 6:00 PM,
chef Jacky is cooking a three course dinner
for French speaking people. A different
region of France is featured each time.
This is a good way to practice your French or
to talk about your upcoming vacation in Paris.
The cost is $50 per person ($5.00 given to the
French Library). It includes Tax, Tip
and one glass of wine.
February 2nd will feature La Bretagne

Vin
chaud at PRB Columbus
Vin chaud (Mulled Wine) is a favorite holiday
drink in the Christmas markets and snowy
villages of France and Germany, where it's
known as Gluehwein. Many recipes exist,
some adding brandy or porto to the final
product, some use lemon juice instead of
orange juice, and some suggest more sugar than
others for a sweeter drink. Columbus
has its own version. Come and try!
